What I miss

You know what I miss during the long summer months...
MY FRIENDS BLOGGING!
Get to WORK ladies. I need to know what's going on in your lives (that means you too Jenn).

I spent the day getting fire wood. We heat our home solely by wood stove. Oh what a weary day it was, but I feel great.
Got stuck in the mud...unhitched the trailer...grunted and pushed and got muddy...got unstuck...grunted and pushed and felt like she-ra...trailer re-hitched...took a five mile hike to make sure the other "ROAD" was passable...ate sandwiches and cherries...drove in to the our "deck" of wood which consisted of a 20 foot high pile of logs...fired up the chainsaw...walked back and forth up a hill of logs...loaded up the wood...kept watching the sky because rain was acomin'...high tailed it outta there...forded a few streams in our Ford and got a little sun burnt...all in a good days work. FOR 1/2 a CORD OF WOOD!
Next time there will be sunblock...and no trailer attached.

For Jill: Special Order

My first hair band sale! A bloggin' buddy of mine wanted to have a custom made hair band in greens with maybe some blue mixed in. I hope she likes it. I labored over this beauty for quite some time. I love finding random items that will all go together...it's like a treasure hunt. There's an earring back with micro beads, an old t-shirt of mine, some of the beads I use for earings, a scrap of fabric from a rice bag Tessa made, and lots of fun buttons. ENJOY it Jilly.

It's been a while since I've scrapped and I am feeling the loss. Here's a new lo though. I love the colors!

Birthday Boy

Jakob's friend had a birthday last week and I had fun making a "boy" card for him. The theme for his party was Airforce so I wanted to go with something in flight. I think this card came together prett well. Hoping to get some scrapping done tomorrow. Have a great day!

We Arrrr so proud of you.

Went to a baptism on Saturday for the sweetest little boy. I enjoyed making this fun little card for him. I just penciled in some swirls on the side and then used three different hole punches to get the border. Have a great day!

Blooming Rhinestones

Made another white headband for a friend. I'm lovin' it! Added in some rhinestones and pearls for a ritzy look. I find myself liking this one better than my own. I guess practice makes perfect. I think I like the tightly clustered look a bit better than the amorphous conglomeration. Haha.

Angel of mine.

This has to be one of my all time favorite stamps. I love to color it. Stamp a Mania I believe. I colored this one with colored pencils and oderless mineral spirits. Having a kinda crazy/lazy day here. Looking to scrapbooks some this week. We'll see. Have a great day.

Friends like Family

Grateful to have friends around me that are like my family. Wonderful women that I learn from and laugh with. Just thought I'd say at least one thing I'm thankful for on this beautiful Independence Day. We live in an AMAZING country and we're FREE! Have a super day.
