This picture was taken in 2008 when we went to the beach with our family. This is Jakob and Luke looking for Sand Crabs...they're these nasty looking beachy pill bug things. I'm sure they have a real name???? The kids love them...me...not so much.
Have a great day.

Coming Home
When Jonah was born he was diagnosed with Transient Tachypnea of a Newborn. His lungs were still wet and his respiratory rate was off the charts. We had to stay an extra day but soon he was the picture of health. They bathed him, brought him to me, I dressed him and buckled him securely into his car seat. He was coming home and I couldn't have been happier.

Jonah's first ouchie...
You know when you're watching your child and then in slow motion (it seems) they begin to fall and there's absolutely nothing you can do...you're to far away...to slow and then the aftermath of bloody noses and skin scrapes is just so sad and a testament to the world that you're a bad mom...well that's how I feel anyways. I wanted to document just such a story. Used some old bandaid stickers and enjoyed it. Have a great day.

3.2.ONE...blast off.
Jonah turns TWO today so it's only fitting that I finally finished the layout of his first birthday! Honestly, I'm so behind on scrapping but I still love it I don't think I'll ever just give up...it's too much fun. The poor boy has strep throat and he's been really whiny but I'm going to make him cupcakes and visit with some friends this afternoon. I'm sure he'll like that. He really has completed our family. I love the way the other children interact with him and try to include them in their activities. He makes us so happy...I just can't believe he's already TWO!!!!

Midweek Mojo #1
So I'm playing catchup. I really want to be better at scrapbooking. I love it. I love capturing the memories. This little moment in time where Travis just adored his brand new baby boy...it's precious and so is that dang beard of his, NOT. He actually went home right after this and shaved it...just waiting 'til the boy was born I guess. Have a great day!

Creamsicle flowers
This card is for a gal who is quite special and recently had a birthday. I haven't been able to get together with her yet but I can't wait to share her card. Hope this brightens your day S! Had a great day today. Watched Tommy for Jenn and he and Jonah had a blast. Scored an awesome suit at the Salvation Army. Can't wait to rock it. I may need a pair of gray or yellow pumps first though! Sold a dresser on craigslist for 80.00 when I only paid 12.99 for it 4 years ago at the thrift store!!! SCORE!! Besides the icepick in my eye from the sinus headache, I'd say I'm having a super day!

I NEED a HAIRCUT! YIKES....My hair looks awfully red in these pictures...it's not...it's a dull brown. I'll be getting a haircut on Wednesday! YAY! This beauty is going to New York, hopefully to a nice home there with a nice lady who will wear it with pride! She's dressy, don'tcha think?!?! Have a great day.

Garden Grow
that's how my garden grows. Zucchini, anyone know why they heck it won't grow uniformly?!?!? This one here below was a forgotton corner monster. I looked down today and there it was, holy cajoly, it was huge! But then the skinny long smile up above would feed five people easily. Oh, and yes I really need to prime and paint that dresser now to match the hutch. I know it will look so much better, but once I do my little secret will really be out...shhhh I'm not going to tell you yet.
PS, why do I still look FAT to myself when I'm wearing a size 6?!?!?!?!? UGH!

Girly Cap
So I tried this cap again and I made it bigger because Tess is going to be 8...I think I definitely like the tighter cap which is 20 inches in circumfrance. It just stays better.
She's thrilled so I won't complain too much but in the future I'll make sure to measure heads before sewing. Have a great day!

Cute Cap
Using a tutorial found HERE at "I Am Momma Hear Me Roar",upcyled boy hat, I made this hat for Aaron in about an hour...it only took an hour because I DON'T sew...except for on paper and straight lines for curtains and such. The most difficult thing for me was sewing the "bias tape" around the edges of the hat. I missed in a bunch of places and had to pull out the stitches and do it again. I'm sure anyone who's even a moderate sewer can put one of these together in 30-45 minutes. I used a bunch of old t-shirst the boys had that were destined for the thrift store-hence the upcycle part of the project. Enjoy and I hope you all have as much fun making this project as I did. Aaron loves it and ALL the kids want me to make one for them now...I can see a girly flap hat in Tessa's future!!! Have a great day.
Rainy Day Earrings
I've been having a lot of fun creating mixed media jewlery. These embossed paper clouds are just the thing to wear when you want a little pick-me-up or a conversation starter. I love how sparkly they are. I entered them in the state fair and I think I got second place in the rubber stamping/jewelry category. That's a new one for me. Hope y'all have a great day!

Vintage Floral
I made this card for the "non-occasion" category. Stampin Up's Fifth Avenue Floral stamped and embossed with white. I used my water brush and re-inker to color in the flowers with Regal Rose and Rose Red. I sponged Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa ink around the edges and then hand stitched the corners with embroidery floss and DONE! I love the way this came out...I made a similar card for a friends birthday a few months back. Have a great day.
