Poppy Birthday!

She's too sweet and too cute not to color again.
I added orange stickles to the centers of the poppies this time. I WILL color her again but maybe with RED poppies ;)

I fussy cut the image and added bling. Sparkling poppies with stickles.

Also made a pleated ruffle with washi tape from Target!

Poppy Parade

I'm in love with this image from Stamping Bella. She's so fun to color.

I colored her to coordinate with the Gathering line. Monday Card Madness sketch #85

Vintage Remake Ruffle Collar Dress

Hello FRUMPMEISTER! Yes, my mother laughed at me when she saw me pick up this black beauty. I probably look like I could be a sister wife in this get up or Carrie's mother (scary, I know).

But a few snips here and there and she was ready for a night on the town or rather a three hour church service ;)

How 'bout an uncropped photo for ya! I guess I don't pay my photographers enough.

I love the round collar and the awesome thing is the ruffle is detachable so if I want to kick this dress up a notch with a cool necklace I totally can in a snap-or a few buttons ;).
Dress, Vintage: $1.00
Shoes, Isaac Mizrahi: $1.00
Belt: $1.00
Earrings: Target $3.00
OUTFIT TOTAL: $6.00

Coral Sprig Card

Squeezed in a card today. Just a simple one.

Lot's of gardening going on outdoors at our house, and not so much crafting. Have a beautiful weekend.

Little Lady

I have a new niece. She's so adorable...so I made a card to go with her cuteness.

I printed off the sentiment on my computer. I beaded a pear head pin and stuck it into the ruffled flower for some frill.
Hope you all are well. Things here are super duper busy.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mama's birthday. She has raised me, taught me, supported me and loved me beyond anything else.

We're going to go eat where she wants today and enjoy a beautiful spring day.

Then I'm going to come home and make her a spice cake with cream cheese icing and giving her her present.

And she'll have time to do more of what she loves...sewing, making quilts, fixing things I beg her to fix ;).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!

Spring Coffee Filter Wreath Tutorial

I have a wonderful friend...she is such an inspiration to me. She gives my daughter piano lessons every week. She gives of herself to SO MANY other people we know. I want her to know how special she is. I hope this wreath says that. Says...you are full of life and happiness and I'm grateful to be your friend and to have you in my life.
Spring wreath with my beautiful blooming irises.
Irises in the front of my house this morning.
Tiny little dyed clothes pins to hold my pennant banner on.
Layered flowers using American Crafts Classics Collection. I love the texture and colors of this paper for spring.

Hope all you beautiful people are having a GREAT DAY. I'm going to story time at the library with my baby boy and running errands with my mama.

Yellow Irises

I made this layout for the Scrapbook Steals Sassy Springtime Challenge

These irises were here when we moved into our home...just hidden and not much too look at.

Now, there some of our most prized spring time treasures.

Fun Friday Food-Cheetos

Banana Frown
A few weeks back my kiddos had their friends over for a play date. Normally we don't have Cheetos or even chips in the house but these were left over from a boys camp out-perfect time to use them ;)

Here they all are lined up and ready to be devoured. Home made peanut butter and home made peach jam with a banana mouth, cucumber eyes and cheeto hair.
Banana smile
This one even had a built in nose!

Ahhh, nothin' better than lunch by the sandbox.
Okay, you're outside...go ahead and play with your food.

Thrifty Thursday: Refashionista

I was thrifting at the Salvation Army with my mom recently and came across this vintage beauty. My mama thought I was nuts, but I think the "after" has persuaded her that you can upcycle many a vintage dud. For a dollar why not try?!?!
Check out my sweet pumps! Yup one whole dollar, but the lace is black not navy :*(
Here it is with some sandals. I got the cherry red vintage necklace at a different thrift store for dollar. Belt was .50 cents at the SA. Sandals were a dollar or cheaper?
OUTFIT TOTAL $3.50
