A little masculine card for you today. I love this set from Stampin' Up.

I like to use these metal washers from the hardware section of Home Depot behind my brads to make them look "tough" :). I think they look cool. Props to my sweet hubby for buying them FOR me for scrappin'.

Color Fun Pearl #7 and Paper Girls

The newest Paper Girl's Challenge is "Get Messy". I thought this would be perfect for a layout about the Color Run. I used the Scrapbook Steals Pearl #7 Sketch as my base.
I took a piece of Whisper White Stampin' Up paper and spritzed some ink sprays around on it to start. Then I laid out my pictures and started adding washi tapes that coordinated.

This aqua color is one of my homemade inks that I made using a tutorial by Van Nguyen. I think I may need an itty bitty piece of washi in this upper corner to ground the layout and trim a bit of the long pink one but other than that I'm HAPPY!
Have a super great day and make some time to create.
UPDATE****
Here's my updated layout.

Albuquerque Color Run

Remember that layout I did about being a "Runner". Well I'm trying. On Saturday morning I woke up LATE because my alarm didn't go off at 5:30 like I had set it and rushed out the door to make it to this race. It's a 5k fun run and I mostly enjoyed it :)

We waited for quite some time to start "racing".

Throughout the run their are color stations where you are squirted with brightly colored cornstarch (I liked this part because I got to slow down a bit).
That's myself, Danielle, and Laurel.
The last leg of the run was really hard for me and I wanted to walk oh so badly but Laurel wouldn't let me. She's amazing! (she ran a half without even gearing up for it...just did it).

And at the very end of the race they have this awesome "Color Festival" where everyone pulls out the color packet they received and throws it! Can you tell that I had red and Laurel had pink?

internet picture
Great way to get out there and exercise. Seriously, maybe in two weeks at the Dirty Dash I won't have to slow down...yeah right...I can dream though. We finished in 33 minutes and that's even with me stopping for a potty break in the middle :).
Have a great Sunday!

Doily /Wedding Dress With Lil Sweet Peps

Hey everybody! I just had a killer workout and am not feeling feminine at all so I thought why not post a uber girly card. I was given some heart doilies a while back so I used one of them to make the dress above.

I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I just cut the stamped flowers in half to make the border. I used Stampin' Up's Baja Breeze ink.
Hope you have a great day!

You're the best gnomie

I made this card for the Scrabook Steals Monday Card Madness sketch. I wanted the card to be simple and the stamps to shine. I had the hardest time NOT coloring this little lady in because she's SO FUN to color. A little rouge on the cheeks and she was ready for her spotlight.

Lovin' the Gnomie set from Sweet Stamp Shop.
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

Quatrefoil Masking

I used a quatrefoil cutout that I created in my Silhouette software as a mask. I just sponged Sage Shadow, More Mustard and Old Olive inks over the cardfront.

I added the sentiment and hearts from Sweet Stamp Shop and added Glossy Accents to
the hearts. Ruby Red ink.

The flower was made with a Spellbinder's die. I handcut the leaves. Simple and fun card.
Havea  super weekend!

Sweet Stamp Shop Pattern Craze Sneak

Hello there, and welcome to the final day of the Sweet Stamp Shop Anniversary Blog Hop!!!
To be entered to win $300 worth of product just leave comments along the way.
You should have come here from Ellen's Blog
if not then you can start at the very beginning at the
SWEET STAMP SHOP BLOG.

I've been busy making Spiced Peach Jam for the last few days but I just had to take some time out to play with Sweet Stamp Shop's new set "Pattern Craze".
I love, love, love hexagons and ALMOST dropped a LARGE chunk of change on the Creative Memories hexie punch on ebay, but the thrifty side won out that time ;).
Don't you just  think the patterns within the hexagons are super?!?! There are so many possiblities!!!

I chose to make flowers out of  my hexies...I just trimmed out a tiny sliver from each corner of the hexagon to form a petal. Easy peasy!
Now hop on over to KARI's BLOG and see some more amazing projects with this set :)
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to make some time to create.

Here's some sneak peaks of one of their brand new sets called Under The Sea

I created a little birthday set with these perfectly paired stamps. The 3d crown and crown card are Silhouette cuts. Gotta chopstick and some tissue paper handy then you too can make this wand. :)

I know so many little girls who would go gaga over having a crown like this to wear on their birthday.
My daughter is nine and she was walking around with the crown on her head and the wand in her hand. I could  tell she felt special!
Now head on over to Nicole's blog and see what gorgeousness she created with this set!

Dear Lizzy Thanks A Bunch

I used my glitter pen to add a shimmer to the jar. Glossy accents for the heart. I thought this Dear Lizzy Neopolitan paper was so cute to make a thank you card.

I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the lace effect.

Have a great day and remember to make some time to create.

ATC Artist Trading Card

I made this ATC from random bits on my scrap desk. I sent it off to a dear friend!
I love this paper from We R Memory Keepers Travel Light collection...the patterns are awesome. The chevron stamp is from Sassafras.
