Polar Bear Christmas Image

Working on this image for my Christmas cards this morning. Now that I know the power of the Silhouette print and cut. I think I can make some handmade cards for the holidays!!!!
I get to go have lunch with a sweet friend today and then to Victoria Secrets to use my $10 off card for some lotion!!!
Hope your day is coming along nicely.
Stay crafty.

Sunday Artist Time
I did this collage drawing a while back. It was a memorial type drawing of my grandfather. I've been thinking a lot about loss today and had a bit of a break down at church today. I miss my family a lot. My mom moved across the country and some close friends have moved away...fallen away...friends who are very ill or have lost those close to them...a lot to think about...maybe I'm just hormonal :)
Here's my gramps with angels wings. He was a WWII veteran hence the flag. I'm from New Mexico so there's a lot of that in here...adobe bricks and mesas.
Here's a close up of the temple I used in this collage. I believe I used the St. Louis Temple as my inspiration here. That little girl there...yeah...she's a representation of me. I only had one set of grandparents growing up and they both died young. I miss them terribly.
Hope this isn't too morbid...just wanted to share.

A Drawing we will go...
So, I purchased this awesome book the other day at Jo-anns called 52 creative exercises to make drawing fun: Drawing Lab for mixed media arts.Lab 1: Draw 30 cats while sitting in bed with your paper on a pillow or the bed. I started of very rough and then found things I liked and went with them. The kiddos are joining me in this endeavor. Should REALLY be fun. Today we'll be taking a few of our favorites and rendering them in various ways.
I still think drawing cats is pretty hard.
