Kickstand Card

This was splitcoaststampers sketch #158. My very first kickstand card. In this type of card the front panel acts as a "kickstand" by being the true edge of the card that meets up with the back.
Recipe: American Crafts Paper, In the Spotlight and Double Line Doodle Stampin' Up stamp sets. Marigold Morning, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive SU inks. Versamark on red background panel. Paper Studio flower brad and yellow $1 spot ribbon to finish.
I used a bunch of punches on this card but I decided I still need one more, the circle punch that fits the small, In the Spotlight stamps. I had to hand cut those!
So how do you think the primaries are going? Do you think it's craziness out there? Sometimes I can't believe this is what our democratic process has been reduced to: a bunch of money and mudslinging. Sad that we can't use those millions of dollars for a worthy cause instead of advertising. Anyone who seems to want to change that never has enough $$$ to do it. Dichotomy, you say. Hmmmm. Let me think on that.
Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Lacey!

SplitcoastStampers Sketch #157
was used as the basis for this card.
I've gotta run this morning. It's snowing like mad and I'm a little worried about heading off to the doctor...kids in tow and what not. My kindest friend shares a January birthday with me too! Here's a little something I put together for her. It's gorgeous IRL! Red Velvet paper and all

Used Delight in Life with Regal Rose and Old Olive. Craft white for the dots in the background.

Hope you like it Lace!

Have a great day.
