I'm so excited to tell you about this idea I had.
I really, really, wanted to get some of those enamel dots but I kept thinking that there has got to be a way to make them yourself!!! So my little wheels kept on turning and this is what popped in my head.

I love your idea! But I don't know about those plastic dots. What are they? what section of Michaels are they in? You then glue them down with glue, right? not the sticky tape.

Patti, I will answer your questions here. You can find the little, plastic half beads in the floral section at Michael's. They're sold in a clear bag. The tape I used to hold them to the waxed paper actually pulled up on most of them and I was able to use it to adhere them. The others I just used a dab of glue to adhere. Hope that helps.
So I just ran across this video as I was searching for enamel bead techniques. I think I like your version a lot. No stinky melting plastic.... although I may attempt some melting outside with the toaster oven at another time. Thank you for sharing this. I I'm going to try it with some champagne gold polish I bought but haven't worn. I've had it two years. I need to get rid of it before it goes yuck on me.
