Sushi Saturday

I'm finally scrapping this picture I took at Sunflower Market last year. They were handing out free sushi and I had all the kids with me. They all wanted to try. I wondered where they got that from. I was a pretty picky eater growing up but now as an adult I find myself trying new things all the time (I had already enjoyed sushi before this visit to SF). My kids are not afraid to try new things. While my mom was here they even ate pickled herring. That's something I ate as a child but wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole as an adult hahahaha! Curries, Quinoa, Cous Cous, fennel...these are all things that are dietary staples at our house now, but I didn't even know what they were as a girl. Oh and ORANGE is my favorite color!

I used Scrapbook Steals Turquoise #10 sketch by Kristy Lee for this layout.

I'm totally Turquoise now!!! All 10 sketches have been completed. This Thickers Font was awesome for the title.

A little washi sewn on the side there. SWEET! I'm off today to scrapbook the day away with my girly, E!!!! Have a super Saturday!

Summer Slippin' n Slidin'

I made this layout for a Scrapbook Steals sketch challenge. This is the Turquoise #2 Sketch. My kids had never been on a Slip-n-Slide before. We live in the desert and grassy areas are scarce.  I loved watching them in this new experience.

Here's my big boy in all his glory.

and the pages together. The second page was another Turquoise sketch. Turquoise #4.

I spritzed some ink over the top of a view finder disc (Blue's Clues).

The "Summer" title was a free download from Silhouette. I really wish I knew what the font was. I LOVE it.

and washi goes a long way to make this summery layout perfect. The roof is almost complete on the house. I  think it's looking great. Have a super day.

Tinkertown Museum

This layout is based on a Scrapbook Steals sketch by Julie. Turquoise #6
I used mostly Basic Grey Out of Print paper line and some My Minds Eye Fun Day excessories.
While my mom was here we had ourselves a little day trip adventure in the mountains.
Ross Ward spent HOURS carving, collecting and creating these little masterpieces.

You can learn more about this funky little museum by going HERE
Have a super great week! We're doing fun activities all week long.

Good Times: Turquoise #3

Made this layout for Scrapbook Steals Turquoise #3 sketch challenge. The page is a die cut paper from Joann's with the main block sewn on and other embellishments attached to flower centers and so on.

I use MME Follow Your Heart

What I'm grateful for. I'm grateful for scrapbooking...I love it!!

Delight in the little things MCM #80

I made this card for the Scrapbook Steals Monday Card Madness #80 sketch. I love these colors together

I spritzed some of my homemade paint spray onto some seam binding and tied it into a bow.

The stamp is from Studio G and I love the sentiment.
