Washi Tape Circles

I had a lot of fun designing this card. I placed coordinating washi tapes in lines and then punched circles out of it. I then cut them in half and arranged them on the card front. Fancy pants chipboard alpha and glitz alpha stickers finished off the card.. Thanks for stopping by.
Have a crafty weekend.

Paper Smooches Island Floral

I was really debating about whether or not I should apply for the PS DT. I  made this card and then I never submitted it..."why", you may ask...because my life is stinkin' crazy right now. I can't believe I even have time to write this blog post ;). I know that there will be an end to basketball season but right now we're mired in it and IT'S FANTASTIC. I love it! Every minute...just not the driving. :)

This card calms my mind and takes me away to a beautiful tropical island.
Hope your weekend has less snow than mine.
Stay crafty...no mater what.

Thanksgiving Place Cards Pilgrims and Indians

I'm over at the Paper Girls Challenge Blog today. We're making THANKFUL projects. Every year I say I'm going to make place cards for our table and every year it gets down to crunch time and never happens. Well this year WE WILL HAVE THEM! :)

I used Stampin' Up's Turkey Talk stamp set for the pilgrim and Indian images. I punched a bunch of leaves, folded them and then inked the creases. I inked the edges of each place card and then stamped each person's name. I think they turned out so cute. (Still have to make grandma's :)).
Have a crafty day!

Bridal Shower Purple Flower

My wonderful college roomie is getting married in January. SO EXCITED for her!!!

I went to her bridal shower yesterday and there was purple as far as the eye could see. I don't know why but I'm just not a purple person. I own a few items of purple clothing but just don't gravitate toward that color. Give me an orange shirt any old day ;).
So I began by stamping the image and then coloring in the flowers with my Spectrum Noir markers. I added a bit of Stickles here and there and then finished it off with a sweet sentiment.

Hope your weekend is super crafty.

Fan Freakin Tastic Sweet Stamp Shop

Another little Sweet Stamp Shop goody!

I forgot to post this other reject from my Paper Crafts submission. I love the color and the poppiness of this card. Wouldn't you love to get a card that says "Fan-Freakin-Tastic". I added glossy accents to the fan blades and the word "WHOA!".

Well, I'm headed to bed. This time change has me all discombobulated.
Stay crafty!

Family Photo Shoot

I really enjoy taking family pictures for people. You get to spend a little time in their world and learn about them. You get to share smiles and laughter with them and most especially you get to capture beautiful moments. I feel extremely blessed to all those who have been a part of this journey with me.

There are so many more beautiful shots. I can't wait for them to see the whole lot!

Homemade Pac-Man Halloween Costumes

I got the idea to be a Pac-Man  family for Halloween about a month before the holiday.

Travis snapping secret pictures of me painting. We just used regular old acrylic paint to paint over the cardboard that Trav brought home from work.

Travis did all the measuring and plotting of the pieces after looking online at dimensions of  the characters. He basically decided what one "pixel" equaled and then went from there. We used an x-acto blade to cut all of the pieces out.

Ready for their eyes which I traced from one pattern and then cut out and painted. That meant I had to do less measuring.
I hot glued the eyes to the fronts of the ghosts.

I punched holes at the tops of each character with my crop-a-dile (hole punch) and then strung some 8mm stretch jewelry cording through the holes and tied a bunch of knots to hold it in place.
Other than a few people thinking we were puzzle pieces the costumes were a hit.
Have a great day!!!!
