DIY Enamel Dots and Pinspired Challenge #4

Yesterday I made up this tutorial for making your very own enamel dots, but at a fraction of the cost of purchasing them. Unfortunately, there was no daylight for pics so I made another project for Pinspired Challenge #4 and snapped a few new pictures.
You can view the video tutorial on Youtube at
DIY Enamel Dots
I really liked the green and orange color combo.

Those gold dots came out FABULOUS!

And here are the new shots of the other projects.

So much sassyness here.

They can be sweet too.

I also found that I could peel up the adhesive with the dots and then use that to stick it to my project. SCORE!
Craft away my friends.

DIY Enamel Dots!

I'm so excited to tell you about this idea I had.
I really, really, wanted to get some of those enamel dots but I kept thinking that there has got to be a way to make them yourself!!! So my little wheels kept on turning and this is what popped in my head.
I made a little video tutorial for you and I hope you give it a try.

DIY ENAMEL DOT TUTORIAL VIDEO
please watch the video for the how-to :)

They give a fun little punch to the project.
Then I got a bunch of my pinks and reds together and made some more.

They store easily and are a fun addition to any project.
Stay crafty my friends.

Solid Tree Swing Card

I got this image set from Impression Obsession and I was excited to ink it up. This just so happens to be another reject for the challenge I've been working on. I do love the way the background came out though. Have you ever tried it. You punch a circle from a post it note, affix it to you card front and then sponge inks around it. The effect is so cool. Give it a go.

Wanna swing with me?
Stay Crafty my friends.

My Favorite Things Sweet Friend

I felt that her skin was too pale so I added in some color and some shading.

She's so sweet. I couldn't pass her up. This little darling reminds me of my girly.

She's stamped in Memento ink and colored with Spectrum Noir markers. I was making this card for a challenge but it just didn't cut the mustard ;). I think it will be my dear Tess' birthday card.
Have a sweet day!

Play Is the Work of a Child

I made this layout of my little guy and I at the park for Scrapbook Steals MidWeek Mojo Amber 1. I also used their Monday Craft Madness #14 idea to use citrus colors.

It came together pretty easily and I just love this picture of J in the pile of rubber chips.

sprinkles and sprays and have a nice days.

Please follow the link and vote for my card if you like what you see.
There's some beautiful work over there.

I'm so excited to say that I've actually made it to another round of
Practical Scrappers Card Contest.
The task was to create a card using Mainly black and white and 25% of one other color.
The card had to include some form of stitching and it had to be a thank you card.
I think I managed to get all of that on here ;)

Have a super sweet day!

Paper Quilted Card

So I scaled down my version of my paper quilted card and made an anniversary card for my dear friends.

Stacking different punches of varied patterned papers gives a fun look to the flower. I hand cut the leaf out and just bent it.

Growing in Unity Final Day: Buzzy Bees

Hello all you beautiful crafters!!!
It's my last day as the GIU girl at Unity Stamps! It has been so great getting to hear from stampers all over the blogosphere.

If this is the first post you've seen from my GIU posts, just make sure you leave a comment on the four previous posts this week for your chance of winning TWO Itty Bitty stamps of your choice from Unity.

I'm not sure what this little Unity Bee is called-he came to me as an extra stamp when I ordered. He really is CUTE isn't he?!?! I began by stamping Mr. Bee in versamark on a kraft base. I then embossed him in white to make him pop. Next, I colored in the images with Spectrum Noir Markers. I just had to add a touch of Stickles to their wings for sparkle.

I just cut a border strip from the honeycomb embossing folder and colored in a few of the hexagons to kick the card up a notch. Thanks for visiting with me this week. It's bee so fun.
Stop by again some time and see what I've got in the works.

I'll announce the winner of the Itty Bitty Stamps on Monday. TTFN!

I made this card using the You + Me = Bliss stamp set. I don't think that Unity carries it anymore but the flowers are adorable and there's a cute bike image too.

Sweet Stamp Shop Release Nesting Banner

Welcome, welcome! How exciting that the new release from Sweet Stamp Shop is finally here!

I really really really like nesting dolls. They're such fun images to make cards with. I have a sweet friend who I make a Matroyska card for every year and when I saw the brand new set, NESTING,
I knew it was perfect!
I have someone very specific in mind for this sweet little banner. She's adding to her family this year, another little boy. That will make there family of seven now a family of eight! What an inspiration she is to me-especially because even at 8 months pregnant she can still run laps around me ;0.
The papers are from Echo Park and Basic Grey. The chip stickers are also from Basic Grey. The washi is from Love My Tapes.

I didn't want to make the banner super baby specific but I did want it to speak to life and growth and the journey a family embarks on each time a new little blessing enters their home.

I used the Sweet Alpha Doodles set here to spell "grow". All of the inks I used are Stampin' Up.

I also used the Sentimental Birds set multiple times on each of the banner pages. The sentiment is made with sayings from the Sentimental Birds set as well.
I hope that your day is bright and cheery! Make sure to leave some time to craft and if you're looking for

Growing in Unity Day 2: Happiness

Welcome to day two of my Growing in Unity week at Unity Stamp Company!
Come by every day this week and leave me a comment and guess what?!?!?!

At the end of the week I will randomly pick a winner and Unity will give you your choice of

I know I have a hard time working with muted color palettes so this card was a bit of a challenge for me but I pushed on and am pleasantly surprised by it.
I used the Unity
Direction of Happy stamp set for the sentiment on this card.

I added some lace and some Studio Calico Shine to give this card a little more oomph.
The paper is Basic Grey.

Hope you're day is filled with happiness.

Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge

Giving this challenge another go..."why" you might ask. Well, because I LOVE the color orange and I got this awesome new ribbon from my friend Amy in the mail so why not ;). Have you guys seen the new Retro Sketches sketch #48, it's great and fit right in with what I wanted to do here.

I also wanted to participate in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge , what perfect timing.
I used the Paper Smooches Picture Perfect Challenge  to get this card on it's way and everything else just worked. LOVE it.

This little guy makes me happy. He's super sweet.
