Halloween Black Burlap Wreath Tutorial: We R Memory Keepers

I was so excited to be a guest designer for We R Memory Keepers. The papers and stickers are all from their Bewitched product line.

This cute little witchy was just popped up on the predesigned background paper.

How about a fun Halloween challenge in the form of a Rubix cube garbed in some great papers.

For this card I used the chevron paper paired with my Sweet Stamp Shop Triangle Style set and a cardstock sticker, Studio Calico wood veneer letters and May Arts trim.

Many of the flowers on my wreath were cut with my Silhouette machine and then rolled into shape. I attached many of them with stick pins first to figure out placement and then added hot glue to affix.

This bow is one of the the cutest details. I love this Silhouette cut. I see many more paper bows in my future ;).

So there you have it. Halloween ready and I still have a bunch of paper to play with!!
Have a crafty day!

Vintage Phone Hello Card: Unity Challenge

I used this sketch for the new Unity Challenge for October/November and I love how the card came out.

Unity stamps are great to work with because they're so high quality. I only wish I could have a real blue polka dotted telephone to grace my home. I used my Unity Neopolitan Bisque Soup set to complete this card. Hope you're having a great weekend!!!

Diorama 14th Century Renaissance Italy Map

I love when my love of paper crafting helps my kids. :)

Tessa was tasked with making a diorama for her 5th grade history class. She asked her teacher if it would be okay to do one of the map of Italy in their book and surprisingly her teacher said, "yes". I racked my brain on how to make a map more diorama like :) and this is the result.

I searched the net for an image of Renaissance Italy and then I printed it six times on different colored papers. Tessa cut blocks of the map out of the different colors and then we popped them up with pop dots. The red portion has three layers of dots. She then typed out all of the places and we printed them. I trimmed them for her and she snipped them down to a size that would fit.
I made the shadow box with a Silhouette Cut (Tessa did not help with that part)
She got 100 percent and now she gets to hang it on her wall in her room.
I'm entering this craft into the Scrapbook Steals Monday Craft Madness Challenge #47 to create something WITH your kids or for your kids. :)
Have a great day.

Pumpkin Grateful Card with Embossed Wood Panel

I'm participating in the Monday Craft Madness #46 GRATEFUL over at ScrapbookSteals.com.
Recently, my husband and I were invited to a dinner party-one of those murder mystery ones. It was quite the eventful evening-costumes and all. There was an elaborate menu including this DIVINE
Pumpkin Bisque with Smoked Gouda and bacon crumbles
(I only recommend not sauteing the onions in the bacon grease)

I just wanted to let my friend know that her efforts are very much appreciated and that we really enjoyed our evening of mystery and hi jinx.
I stamped the Sweet Stamp Shop wood grain background stamp in Versamark and then heat embossed. I spritzed some October Afternoon Sprinklers over the top and wiped off the excess. I stamped the "Thank You" sentiment onto a piece of architectural trace paper and tore it to fit on the front of the card. The pumpkins are from Studio G I believe and I just stamped them with Close to Cocoa, More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie inks. I also spritzed some Sprinklers onto that panel as well.
Thanks for stopping in for a glimpse of  crafty goodness.

Happy Anniversary Triangle Card

I made this card for the most recent Paper Crafts call. Unfortunately, it wasn't chosen, but that is okay. It's some pretty eye candy for you today ;). I love the super fine champagne glitter from Stampin' Up and I'm SERIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH THESE TRIANGLE STAMPS for SWEET STAMP SHOP. They're awesome and so fun to stamp with.
Hope you're having a great day...I've got to take my little guy in to have his front tooth pulled. He must have knocked it on something and killed it...now it's totally infected. :(
Stay crafty.

Simple Wood Ornament Nativity

Super simple and easy to execute if you have the materials on hand. I'm doing something similar for our local super saturday only with stamped and embossed images. :)

I'm hanging them with some natural jute twine and then tying a ribbon at the top of that just at the top of the piece of wood
I hope you're having an amazing weekend!
Stay crafty my friends.

Boo Halloween Mini Album with Embossed Tags

Welcome to Day 6 of the 7 Days of Halloween Blog Event brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew".
Here's the project I created for today's inspiration.
Just a simple accordion style album that can be tied shut. I added pockets to the back so that tags could be changed out with pictures.

I embellished this panel with the DIY Enamel Dots that I make with
plastic floral beads and nail polish. They're so easy.
The nice thing is that this mini book can be displayed as a piece of decor through the holidays.

A punched and inked leaf for some fall flair.
All of the Inspiration ladies lined up.

for the tags I inked up the embossing folder and then ran it through my Cuttlebug machine. I love how crisp the raised image is.

Cute Halloween Booglie Eyes Card with Dracula, Mummy and Frankenstein

Welcome to Day 5 of the 7 Days of Halloween Blog Event brought to you by "The Inspiration Crew".
Here's the card I whipped up for today's inspiration.

Super simple one layer card with some May Art's ribbon to finish it off. I masked off the square frames with punched post it paper and then inked in with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. These are some more adorable images from Stampin' Up's Booglie Eyes set. I checked, it's going for a pretty penny on ebay right now ;). I water colored the images and called it good. I just love cutsie Halloween characters!
Now go hop on over to the other ladies' blogs and see what they've got cooked up for inspiration today.

I used my Sweet Stamp Shop Pattern Craze stamp set paired with a spider from Stampin' Up's Booglie Eyes set and the spider web from Haunted House (hurry it's retiring and once it's gone it's gone). The other spider web is from the dollar stamps at Michaels. Old Olive ink is the only other think I used. I love it's simplicity. Now go hop on over to the other ladies' blogs and see what they've got cooked up for inspiration today.

I found this chipboard ghost on clearance at my LSS and snatched them up. Then I sat down with my kiddos and started decorating. I will hang these ghosties from our peg shelf in the living room. I love decorating for Halloween with cutesy things. Each Halloween ghost has it's own personality...just like my kiddos. I did have to help cut out the eyes and mouth with an exacto.
Now onto more inspiration!!!

I created this door hanger using my Silhouette. I punched circles and ovals, embossed them with my Cuttlebug and then inked them up. I layered them on top of eachother and then added folded daisies to the tops of the pumpkins for greenery. A little floral wire did the trick when creating pumpkin vines. I hope you have a super crafty day.
