I'm so happy to announce that I'll be designing for the Sweet Stamp Shop! They have adorable stamps and they are superior quality. I'm grateful to Nicole for giving me a chance to shine.  Have a super sweet day and don't forget to check back for reveals of the upcoming August release from SSS next week.

This card was based on a sketch by the wonderful Kristy Lee at ScrapbookSteals.com
Here's the inside of the card too :)

Butterfly Baby Shower Framed Art

I punched out a bunch of butterflies from random papers with a coral, aqua yellow theme. I made a five by five grid of butterflies and glued them down. Popping up their wings after they dried.

Tessa now wants one for her room :)

I used my Stampin' Up blender pen to color in the name with Stampin' Up ink.

A little bit of art for a beautiful baby girl.
Have a super sweet day!

Thrifty Thursday Retro Fun

I found this dress at the local Bethel Thriftstore. It was singing my name.It had a few issues the major one being you could practically see China when looking into the arm holes...there were no actual sleeves...think batman ;) Totally 80's. I turned the dress inside out and began sewing up the waist, following the seam, about 1/2" in. I kept sewing that way and stopped when I felt the hole left would be comfortable for my arms. This was not a perfect science by any means and I had to pick out some stitches because I over sewed one side and the arm opening was cutting off the circulation to my right bicep ;).

Gosh, I need to get a photographer older than seven. Added the silver belt that was 50 cents.

Chunky teal necklace

Some amazing leather ruffled pumps that I scored for a dollar!

Ranger Alcohol Ink Fun

I'm making "art work" for my bathroom. Replacing the bath time baby pictures of my kiddos. It's FUN!

Kinda reminds me of coral and the bottom of the sea.

UPDATE: Here's how they look in their new home.
The cool thing is you can always go back and add more.

Things that go Whoosh

Jonah is fascinated by all things motorized. When we were blessed to be given a new front loading washer (thank goodness too because our washer's agitator had quit working) every time I put in a load he would wander over and stare inside. Whether it's cars, trains or washing machines this kid loves it!

Sweet and Spicy Sticky Chicken

We had the Skinny Taste Asian Glazed Drumsticks for dinner tonight (because the chicken was marked down today) with brown rice and some broccoli. It was REALLY yummy. Took some time for the sauce to cook down to a glaze though.
Trav is making rice pudding for FHE with the left overs as we speak. I think I'm adding a dollop of Nutella. :) Have a super night.

Run: On Being a Runner

Am I a "Runner"? The answer to that question would decidedly be "NO"! Do I run? Yes and I have three 5Ks coming up so I'm trying to get with it. I love working out. I love how I feel when I've just "killed it" for the last hour but I struggle with running. I have run A 5k and I ran it in just over 30 minutes but I want to be better. I want to ENJOY running. I'm not there yet.

It's time for a new pair of shoes. I'm sure that will help ;).
Have a great week!

Lil' Scribbler

I had some time yesterday to get some much needed layouts done. Jonah, is an intense artistst :). He likes to add color upon color until that color begins lifting from the paper.
I made this layout for the Paper Girl's Challenge Blog.

Super simple layout with Basic Grey Out of Print paper and doodles.

Lemon Flower Collection for the green and American Crafts for the Thickers alphabet and it was complete. I used some word stickers and added my own journaling to it!
Have a great day!

Sushi Saturday

I'm finally scrapping this picture I took at Sunflower Market last year. They were handing out free sushi and I had all the kids with me. They all wanted to try. I wondered where they got that from. I was a pretty picky eater growing up but now as an adult I find myself trying new things all the time (I had already enjoyed sushi before this visit to SF). My kids are not afraid to try new things. While my mom was here they even ate pickled herring. That's something I ate as a child but wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole as an adult hahahaha! Curries, Quinoa, Cous Cous, fennel...these are all things that are dietary staples at our house now, but I didn't even know what they were as a girl. Oh and ORANGE is my favorite color!

I used Scrapbook Steals Turquoise #10 sketch by Kristy Lee for this layout.

I'm totally Turquoise now!!! All 10 sketches have been completed. This Thickers Font was awesome for the title.

A little washi sewn on the side there. SWEET! I'm off today to scrapbook the day away with my girly, E!!!! Have a super Saturday!
