Families Are Forever Scrapbook Steals Daisy #2

I haven't done a Mid Week Mojo in what feels like forever.
This is taken from their Daisy #2 Sketch
However, I had a visit from a dear friend last week who so lovingly showed me the scrapbook that she made for her daughter who lives in heaven now and it made me realize that I really need to do something for Isaiah. I need to do it for me and for my children so that they can have something to look through that is all about him and them and this special time in our lives. That's what this hobby is for, isn't it. I know I won't share every page I make here, on the blog, some are just too tender. But, I'm getting better at handling this thing we call grief and this is okay for me now.
So, I printed out one of the pictures that the nurses took at the hospital and used my Silhouette to cut out the title. I love how it wraps around the picture. I used a piece of my architectural trace paper that I actually cut from the edge of one of my college drawings and pleated it, sewed it and adhered it to the page. SRM stickers and some washi along with basic grey flare and adhesive cork finish it off.

I hope you find scrapbooking as therapeutic as I do and that it gives you as much joy as it does me.
Have a great week.

Sweet Stamp Shop Release Nesting Banner

Welcome, welcome! How exciting that the new release from Sweet Stamp Shop is finally here!

I really really really like nesting dolls. They're such fun images to make cards with. I have a sweet friend who I make a Matroyska card for every year and when I saw the brand new set, NESTING,
I knew it was perfect!
I have someone very specific in mind for this sweet little banner. She's adding to her family this year, another little boy. That will make there family of seven now a family of eight! What an inspiration she is to me-especially because even at 8 months pregnant she can still run laps around me ;0.
The papers are from Echo Park and Basic Grey. The chip stickers are also from Basic Grey. The washi is from Love My Tapes.

I didn't want to make the banner super baby specific but I did want it to speak to life and growth and the journey a family embarks on each time a new little blessing enters their home.

I used the Sweet Alpha Doodles set here to spell "grow". All of the inks I used are Stampin' Up.

I also used the Sentimental Birds set multiple times on each of the banner pages. The sentiment is made with sayings from the Sentimental Birds set as well.
I hope that your day is bright and cheery! Make sure to leave some time to craft and if you're looking for

Growing in Unity Day 2: Happiness

Welcome to day two of my Growing in Unity week at Unity Stamp Company!
Come by every day this week and leave me a comment and guess what?!?!?!

At the end of the week I will randomly pick a winner and Unity will give you your choice of

I know I have a hard time working with muted color palettes so this card was a bit of a challenge for me but I pushed on and am pleasantly surprised by it.
I used the Unity
Direction of Happy stamp set for the sentiment on this card.

I added some lace and some Studio Calico Shine to give this card a little more oomph.
The paper is Basic Grey.

Hope you're day is filled with happiness.

Rustic Wood LOVE Valentine's Day Card

ScrapbookSteals Monday Craft Madness #8 was to do something for Valentine's Day. I , of course, needed a card for my sweet honey. I thought using wood would make it a little more masculine. I also used RetroSketches #45 to start my card off right. :)

I used the Stampin' Up Headline Alpha for "LOVE" with Real Red ink. I then used my white Uniball Signo gel pen to doodle over the letters. Who needs Thickers, right?
Natural twine and a triple heart punch from Stampin' Up and I was done.
The patterned paper is from Basic Grey
Thanks to Scrapbook Steals and Retrosketches for some inspiration!
