Gold Baby Shoes

I embossed these little baby shoes with gold embossing powder. I highlighted the shoes with a bit of pink. This card went to my college friend who just had a beautiful baby girl. Her first child. I remember what that was like...kinda. :)

Theresa Collins papers and gold striped washi.

Families Are Forever Scrapbook Steals Daisy #2

I haven't done a Mid Week Mojo in what feels like forever.
This is taken from their Daisy #2 Sketch
However, I had a visit from a dear friend last week who so lovingly showed me the scrapbook that she made for her daughter who lives in heaven now and it made me realize that I really need to do something for Isaiah. I need to do it for me and for my children so that they can have something to look through that is all about him and them and this special time in our lives. That's what this hobby is for, isn't it. I know I won't share every page I make here, on the blog, some are just too tender. But, I'm getting better at handling this thing we call grief and this is okay for me now.
So, I printed out one of the pictures that the nurses took at the hospital and used my Silhouette to cut out the title. I love how it wraps around the picture. I used a piece of my architectural trace paper that I actually cut from the edge of one of my college drawings and pleated it, sewed it and adhered it to the page. SRM stickers and some washi along with basic grey flare and adhesive cork finish it off.

I hope you find scrapbooking as therapeutic as I do and that it gives you as much joy as it does me.
Have a great week.

Tim Holtz Embossing Folder and Washi Tape

This card almost makes me think of a fortune cookie. I water colored the heart with Tim Holtz distress ink. I covered a sheet of cardstock with washi tape and then punched out the circles. After I embossed the card base I sewed the washi circles on and then popped up the heart on top.

Hope you Christmas season is coming along beautifully.

Washi Tape Circles

I had a lot of fun designing this card. I placed coordinating washi tapes in lines and then punched circles out of it. I then cut them in half and arranged them on the card front. Fancy pants chipboard alpha and glitz alpha stickers finished off the card.. Thanks for stopping by.
Have a crafty weekend.

Scrapbook Steals March Blog Hop

Hello there, and welcome to Scrapbook Steals Blog Hop. If you haven't come here from the
Scrapbook Steals blog go ahead and start at the very beginning. :)
Today Scrapbook Steals is featuring
washi tape from
LOVE MY TAPES WASHI TAPE
they have such great scrapbooking supplies to steal every day.

You can find the washi tape flower tutorial on YouTube
WASHI TAPE FLOWER TUTORIAL

One of my favorite ways to use washi is to make rosettes or washi flowers out of it. I paired up this washi with some super fun stamps from the Sweet Stamp Shop!

I had these great pictures of my little guy playing with his cars and "making tracks". I made my own "washi blocks" and cut a decorative edge on them. I think they add a great element to the page.

Lots of fun ways to use washi! Hop on the bandwagon and make your very own
flowers, stripes, and full covered pieces!

Thanks for stopping by now head on over to
BECCI'S BLOG
and see the beautiful things she has created.
By commenting you are entered into the $20 Scrapbook Steals gift cert!!!

I used my LC embossing folder to dry emboss the Kraft paper and swiped my Versamark pad over the top of it. I then embossed it with white embossing powder and colored in the negative spaces.

Washi Washi Everywhere and I just love it!

I have another slight addiction passion
for all things washi.
If you don't know what washi is or understand why it's so amazing
you can go HERE to find out.
My daughter and I actually put this card together yesterday in a matter of minutes.
I love that you have no adhesive to apply because it's already sticky and
the patterns and colors are just so pretty now.
You can use it in so many ways too.
Hope you all have a super sweet day.

9th Birthday Owl Card

My beautiful, baby girl turned nine yesterday!! It seems like it was just such a short time ago when she was wee little babe with dark brown hair and chubby little legs.
I know I've said it before but I'll say it again, Tessa is such a sweet girl. She really tries to help others and make everyone happy (sometimes not so much with her brothers ;)). She's always willing to share and play with smaller children. She hates dissappointing anyone and tries to do her best always. I'm so grateful to have a girl in our family that likes shoes and drawing unicorns.

I made this card with a bunch of different washi tapes for Tess. She loves pink and purple.

I popped up the balloons with foam squares and added a glue dot to the back to hold the twine in place

I stamped the stomach of the owl on the yellow washi and then x-actoed it out. PERFECT! I also cut a slit with my x-acto on the top and bottom of his wing so the twine could go behind.
Hope your weekend is a blast. Getting ready for a baby shower today. Have a super day!
