Blake is graduating...

Hard to believe I've been a part of my dh's family that now I really do feel like and Aunt. It will be nine years on the 22nd of May. Blake is Travis', sister's son. My kids love him to death and he'll be at the beach when we're camping next month so they can't wait! I wanted to do a special card for Blake cuz he's such a special guy. This card has lots of texture and stuff to feel, the letters are plastic beadsthat are quite large. I hope Blake likes it, you see, he was born with no sight and loves to feel things and hear repetative things. He also loves to make funny voices up which is one of the reasons the kids adore him. I was thinking of adding the year, embossed in silver in the right hand corner. What do you think? Or does it "feel" done enough to you.
Have a great day.

I love the embossing and the pop top on the ribbon is very clever. I think it looks great like it is, but I would probably add the date.

I think a date would be a nice touch. I love the big plastic letters, and the pop tab is perfect! I love the color too, and that traffic jam embossing folder is a favorite of mine.

Omigosh, Misty, this card is perfect!! I love everything about it ... esp. the colors you used.

I must say that you're the first artist who ever made me want to own that embossing folder ... it's just perfect here!

PS: Is that a soda can pop-tab?!? Looks great ... did you emboss it? Details, I need details!!

Have a great weekend, Kiddo!!

I posted my scraplifted version of your May 12th layout tonight. Take a look at mine, it's quite a bit more simple...I didn't have much time left today and I wanted to finish. But I thank you very much for inspiration and your permission to use your layout.

Fabulous card for the grad! I think since this is a special date to be remembered, you should add the date. He is going to flip over Auntie's card! Take care, hugs, Deb
