What Does The Fox Say? Thank You!

Sorry if that song is now stuck in your head ;).
After the recent loss of our 17 week in utero baby, Isaiah, I have so many thank you's to write.
I really want them to be cute and informal because the people that cared for us after our loss are truly my close friends.

This super cute little FOXY set can be found at The Sweet Stamp Shop. The price can't be beat either. I love to support my friends when they're extra amazing.
I'm trying to heal and I hope you're having a great week.

Graduation Card with Cap and Tassle

Sweet Stamp Shop gets SOPHISTICATED!
Break out your old metal rimmed tags! You know you have them...hidden away in some drawer... somewhere :)
I used the small graduation cap from the TOO HIP set to create this great grad card. Change up the color scheme to make it more feminine and color the cap any color you'd like. This is such a versatile set.

The sentiment is from the JUST THE BASICS set.

I know graduation is months away, but I'm one more card prepared than I was before. ;)
Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Paper Pieced Animal Party

Today is a special day for a friend of mine. I've known her since the eighth grade. She is truly amazing and such a fun person to be around. She is a giver of herself and so helpful. I'm so glad I got to see her on her birthday and celebrate her special day with her.I think we're getting better with age!
I decided to make an animal card for her because she has the cutest little doggie with the biggest personality. She loves her boy!

Here's to many more years spent celebrating together!

Ombre Orange Mountains Cute Card Thursday

I love playing around with my inks. This ombre orange is just the thing to "WARM IT UP"  which is this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge.
The "Hello" is a sentiment stamp from Sweet Stamp Shop. I used a scrap piece of paper and cut out something I thought looked like mountains and then inked up from bottom to top going lighter as I went up.

Be sure to stop on by and join in this week's challenge. Living in the Southwest this card just speaks to our lovely mesas that we have here.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to make so time to create.

Gettin' a little scrappy!
Tessa and her good friend playing chess. These girls have amazing imaginations! They're always creating fairy worlds, playing with dolls or enjoying a board game. You won't ever hear them say they're bored.
I used some Studio Calico paper for the background and some WRMK for the strip.

A few thickers and some wood veneers and we're all done.
Hope you have a super week!

Welcome to another great challenge from Cute Card Thursday. This week's challenge, if you choose to accept it is "Cold and Frosty" . Stop by the blog and play along. There's some really great inspiration. I'm sure some of our friends and family in the Midwest United States are tired of cold and frosty but who wouldn't want to receive a card like this? :)))
I embossed the tree image from Stamp-A-Mania in Desert Rain embossing powder. I love the glittery, frosty look it gives.

I spritzed my kraft with icebox October Afternoon Sprinklers. The top layer was spritzed with bonnie blue Mr. Huey's. I added a few spots of iridescent glitter glue as well.

I added beads and snowflakes to finish off the card.

Hope you're having a wonderful week. TAKE CARE!

Cute Card Thursday And Everything Nice

Hello all you crafty peeps out there!
I'm excited to be paper crafting once again...

I was asked to guest over at CUTE CARD THURSDAY for the month of January. This weeks theme is
"banish the blues" so I wanted to make a special card that was cheery and sweet. I have a wonderful friend who just celebrated her birthday on the first of the year and I know she'll enjoy receiving this card.
I used Stampin' Up's "And Everything Nice" stamp set. I've owned for years and this is the first time I've ever inked it up. I love the sweet faces of the characters and the hollyhocks.

I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. 2014 is looking to be a year of big things for my family. Take care and craft on.

Tim Holtz Embossing Folder and Washi Tape

This card almost makes me think of a fortune cookie. I water colored the heart with Tim Holtz distress ink. I covered a sheet of cardstock with washi tape and then punched out the circles. After I embossed the card base I sewed the washi circles on and then popped up the heart on top.

Hope you Christmas season is coming along beautifully.

New Crop Handmade Snowflake Patterns

Today marks another Family Home Evening spent making paper snowflakes to add to our growing collection. It now takes me about a half hour or more to hang them all. Jonah wanted to copy Aaron's design so badly. I love when they want to be like each other. Tessa loved the idea of a butterfly and went to work making that happen. Unfortunately, her first attempt didn't turn out so hot. One good thing about this year is that I didn't have to do all the initial folding of the paper. Jakob and Tessa are getting pretty good at it. Daddy is at training for work so we hope to have him add his when he gets home. He always makes the coolest designs. Like his FIRE SNOWFLAKE.

To see last years crop

and to see them hanging up
GO HERE
have a wonderfully crafty week!

Baby Boy Scrapbook Layout

Seriously, OH MY GOSH! It has probably been half a year since I scrapped a page. I just adore this picture of my "baby boy" and myself from our family vacation this summer. He's twelve and he towers over me at 6ft tall now. He thinks it's pretty funny. I actually used Scrapbook Steals Midweek Mojo Lolite #2 sketch for this layout. I used some gorgeous papers that my friend Melissa sent me, cuz she's just super nice like that. No matter how big he gets, or how big a stinker he is,
he'll always be my baby boy.

I need to learn how to journal straight when I hand journal but I know he won't mind .

I have used DCWV, October Afternoon and WRMK papers here. The letters are Thickers.

You TOO, don't you forget to be awesome every day!
I love paper :)!!!
